Question What new career?

Hi All,

Have decided that I want a new career. Currently working in Web Dev but want out. Over 5 years of IT work experience, 4 A levels, some grasp of foreign languages, willing to move/travel/retrain.

Any suggestions as to what careers are worthwhile and give you a feeling of self satisfaction?

Cheers

Dave

**** star ?

Certainly a feeling of self satisfaction. Hours are good, spend half the day in bed, you get to work with *****, No PC brigade telling you "that's sexist" when you make comments about t1ts and ***.

No uniform, plenty of exercise and you could work from home.

Is money important? Are you expecting the same kind of remuneration as you currently receive?

Is it possible that by moving to a different company or setting up on your own you'd get more job satisfaction?

At present job satisfaction is the most important thing.
Obviously the higher the renumeration the more it'd please me too.

Ah yes, a well paid, exciting and rewarding job that you love doing - the day dream of many an unhappy worker!!

Sorry - having (another) boring day!!

Seriously though, what other interests do you have that could provide potential careers?

Would doing the same thing - web design - but for a charity or something like that interest you? It would certainly be "worthwhile"!!

Problem with changing careers completely is it's a lot more difficult than moving sideways within your current career!! I'm not saying it's impossible, but you definitely need a firm idea of what you want to do!!
