report it to ebay, they had a mediation service, and if thats not successful, they have an insurance policy to cover the "shady" deals on ebay.
click on services, at the top of your "My ebay" page, and click on "Paypal Buyer Protection"

Hope this helps, good luck

Wait.

It's Easter and postal service has stopped.

If it's not with you by Tues/Wed then make moves.

If you're really worried do a charge back. Call your credit card co. and tell them you suspect fraud.

They can recall the payment.

I recently purchased some pc memory off ebay using buy it now and paying with paypal, time past and I never saw it so I filed a complaint to paypal. After about a month paypal mailed me to say they couldnt recover the funds, so I reported it to my b/card who credited me with my money (after I sent them all the evidence of the sale). Just had an email from paypal telling me that I should have used their service to get my funds returned and in future they may terminate my account if I dont go to them first before my credit card company. Stupid paypal muppets

this will only get you £100.

doesn't paypal guarantee this sort of **** ... also if you are paying paypal via visa/MC then they must cover it.

in my experience with Ebay they will delay any action as long as possible by using their mediation service, eventually say that they cannot contact the seller, and then take ages to do anything else!

i took mine to police and they (west yorkshire) have a policy of not investigating ebay non-delivery of goods - "fraud". i even gave them the branch and account number that the guy had paid into.

too much effort - they were a joy to deal with
