T2 Extreme DVD

T2 Extreme DVD
I bought a copy of Terminator-2 "Extreme DVD". It's a 2-disc set, and the second carries a high definition Windows Media 9 version of the movie. The problem is that to play it you need to obtain a DRM licence key. It also only plays in the Interactual player that is on the disc. When the player tries to obtain a licence it halts and reports back that the media content is only licenced for viewing in the US and Canada. WTF?
Do you know how to get around this? I've tried setting my Windows region to USA. I've got a region-free drive, and am running DVD Region-Free in the background. I've got DVD R-F to emulate a R1 device for RCE discs (which I'm assuming this is). Still won't work. Bastids! Any suggestions...?

...after a little reading it seems that there *may* be a workaround to allow non-US owners to watch their movies. The licence mechanism looks at the IP route you use to connect to the licencing server. If you're obviously connecting from outside the US, then you're denied a licence. One solution may be to connect via a US proxy server (although this must, apparently, be non-transparent and also non-anonymous).
