Sandown Park - the best way to avoid traffic.
This weekend I'll be going to a rather popular show at Sandown Park in Esher, Surrey. Having never been there before and heard nothing but stories of long traffic jams for miles around I was wondering if anyone knows of a sneaky back route I can take?
I was also considering getting a train to Esher station but how far is it from the showground entrance?

There's only one road where the main car park is off so it's tough to avoid the traffic. The car park is big, so you get there early and leave before hte rush, you can avoid most of the traffic. The police will also guide traffic out, during kicking out time, so no worries turning right out on to a main road.
The train station is about 15-20 minutes walk away.
I'm a local, so if you have any specific questions on route, drop me a PM.
Cheers
Andy
