BOY IS A MANIAC DRIVER
MY son drives like a total maniac. He’s 17 and is sitting his driving test next month.
He drives sensibly in my car but recklessly in his.
He goes mad if I try to tell him. He got in a major strop a few days ago and started spinning wheels and driving even more stupidly.
I locked his car when we got home and have refused to let him drive until he passes his test.
He says I’m unfair and that I don’t want him to pass. He’s right – I don’t.
I think he’s dangerous and could kill himself or someone else.
I lost my daughter in an accident and I don’t want to lose another child.
DEIDRE SAYS: Have a word with his driving instructor. He may listen to someone else.
You have already lost one child, and this is touching on that loss.
You may find it helpful to contact Compassionate Friends’ helpline on 0845 123 2304.
