ATTENTION T-MOBILE CONTRACT USERS!!
Have you received a letter in the post informing you that you will soon be charged £1 per month for itemised billing?
If so, T-Mobile are in breach of contract and you can cancel your contract immediately with no penalties!
My mate phoned up and did this earlier today after I spotted it here:
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cgi...num=1074929170
He's now gone out to get a new phone on a new contract, plus he's left over with an almost brand new Nokia 6100 to sell.
Just thought I'd spread the good news.
Andy

Hello
Mmmm. That is interesting, having taken out a contract with them for my wife a few months ago.
However, there doesn't seem to be a comparable price plan elsewhere? We currently get 300 any network/time minutes for £29 per month.

boxst - don't rely on the brochures. Many of them (Orange in particular) will match the tariff of any other mobile network. You need to go in and ask a few questions.

Hello
I just spoke to T-Mobile customer services who are rather upset about the whole thing, but it's true. 30 days notice, my wife gets to keep the nice shiny new handset (and free DVD player!) and we can take a contract elsewhere. Amazing.

I saw that and have cancelled it for the second line but seeing as I need it itemised for work, I'll just add it to the phone bill for expenses instead. I don't think I can get unlimited land line calls 7pm-7am and all weekend with another network. But you can log onto your account on the t-mobile website and still get the itemised billing IIRC

Can I sign up retrospectivly, in the hope that the salesman fishes out an old contract copy and hands me a freebie?
Wot's the chances of that happening?

Yes it can definately be done. As I got through to their customer services and complained and then asked if I could cancel. There were not very happy, but said "yes".
I am off to an Orange shop today, as I want them to match 300 anytime minutes for £29 per month. If so, bye bye T-Mobile.

Thanks, but I really need to keep my number as its my works phone. Is there anyway I can keep my number and either push them into a better contract or swop to another provider?
I really cant see the benefit of them pushing for the £1 itemised billing ...or maybe they didnt realise the power of the internet and how word spreads quickly

Right, just spoke to them and there prepared to waive the £1 itemised billing fee and to upgrade the phone from a 3510i to a 7250i for free. If I stay on the everyone 100, they'll throw in another 50 minutes free but then I'm contracted for 18 months, but I'm not sure if there stilling doing text bundles as their websites down, yet again .....
Not sure if thats tempting or not really ....
