24 - Day 3 - Sky
Watched the first episode of 24 last night on Sky one, well I actually taped it then watched it on the video, thankfully!
This program, when on BBC2 is 45mins long. Now its on sky its 1hr 15min. 30 minutes of adverts!!!
I'm guessing that the beeb got out bid for this series, which is a shame.
I for one don’t mind paying the licensing fee for the beeb, so long as there are no adverts!!
(anyone that missed it, I think its being repeated at 9pm on this Sat)

pissed off that SKY got a hold of this !!
They did indeed outbid the BBC.
I gave up my subscription and am missing 24 now having watched it all from hour 1!
Will just have to add series 3 box set to the other 2

I noticed that Kim appears to have developed a brain
She really did come across as a dumb bint last series.
I thought the Beeb were in a bit of trouble since it was broadcast on freeview and you could pick it up just over the channel without paying for it. May be wrong there.
Sounds like we were lucky that Sky got it or we might not have it at all. Mind you I cannot believe how many adverts they managed to get in
Should be able to get box set from the US when they finish the series- about 12 weeks time

Way too mnay adverts. I'm gonna tape it in future and FF thought the ads.
Shaping up to be a good series though.
Nice touch moving kim into CTU. It keeps her in the picture, and hopefully she wont spend the entire series getting involved with druggies, car crashes, nutters in the woods, etc. That would have been stetchin it a little.

Advert's every ten minutes FFS, I fell asleep and missed the end but I won't watch it on Saturday as it clashes with CSI Miami.
Is Kim the young blonde who is yer man's daughter ? very pretty indeed
Who is the other girl with the black hair, skinny legs and clevage ? pretty too
Windyboy.

The entire reason it was 45 mins as opposed to an hour on the Beeb was the lack of ad breaks. With the ads it should be 1hr and hence in realtime.
Typical of Sky to make it 1hr 15
Luckily I taped it and was able to fast forward all the commercials.

The first episode was 1hr 15mins because in the USA the first episode was an hour long without ad breaks because Ford did a one off sponsership deal to have no ads. So Sky edited the ad breaks in last night.
Every other episode lasts for 45mins which means it will be 1hr with ad breaks.
I thought it was a very good episode. Should be interesting to see how Jack controls his addiction.

totally agree, Sky have ruined it.
FFS sponsered by Nivea wasn't it and it lasted a grand total of 8 mins before the first ad break. I doubt I'll be watching this one as much as I watched the first 2......

If you have broadband and BitTorrent you can download episodes of 24 in case your video recording didn't work properly
