Default Running shoes

I am looking for a good pair of running shoes. I have done the Reebok and Nike thing but am now looking for a more specilased shoe. Asics, Saucony, New Balance ?? Which is best to go for? Which sites should I look towards for discount shoes ? Not bothered if they are last season or anything just want a good pair of shoes.

I'm using Asics, but only putting about 15 miles a week on them at the moment......need to get out more

I suggest you go to a decent running shop that has a treadmill and they will video you in different shoes to see whether you pronate, supinate etc and will suggest the best shoe for you

Ozzy is the chap to ask about this. From his posts, there's a lot more involved than liking the colour if you're serious about your running

Dave is right.
I ran for ages in good shoes that weren't right for me.
Went to a specialist who had a pressure sensitive floor that imaged your feet as you ran over it and worked out how my feet fit and left the floor.
The upshot is I changed shoes to a different style and brand with support in other areas of my feet and I've never looked back.
Used to finish Triathlons with painful knees, now it's just everything else that hurts.

right, will have to have a look around to see if there are any shops like that in the area. I can only really think of one so I will give them a try today I think.

Aye, was kind of hoping for a reply from Ozzy right enough He may be one of the many who seem to have jumpped the SN ship.
