TV keeps going green... is it dying?
Its a Panasonic 14" colour portable, and it seems to be happening increasingly regularly. Some days it jumps from normal colour to a very green hue and then back - others it just stays green! Before I bin it does anyone know if it is likely to be repairable (economically)?

Had a similar problem with a monitor and a TV (but TV went purple), in both cases it wasn't worth repairing. With the price of 14" portables I would seriously doubt it, but you could ask your local repair shop, or live with it till the smoke starts coming out the back!

Is this all the time or when watching say a video/dvd on the telly?
I'd say it'll be the telly, but if it's on the aux input it could be a dodgy connection. (I just sorted a friends dvd/telly out for her as a dodgy scart lead (brand new, red pin was pushed back in the body) caused a picture with a green hue.
Try your local repair shop for a quote, mine are fairly reasonable.

sounds like the 'green' gun is failing on your set. Its been a while since I used to work on them but its related.
If you are proficent and brave have a look for dry joints. If you are unsure then leave it to a pro as there is some serious voltage on the HT side of things in CRT's
Like the man says above - bin it !

Approved repair method!!! NOT
lick fingers and run over back of gun yoke,,,
when you hear a crackling noise thats the dry joint,,,
or is it the splinters in your head from hitting the ceiling...
as the guys say there are some serious voltages in there
it will cost approx £45 for a tv shop to look at repair and approx £90 to buy a new one
