Here she is, not to keen on the seat, needs to rivert back to the original, and due to H&S can't have the gear lever on the frame, i think it's the gripshift type ?

Wink

By the time these came on the scene, my expensive racer had been converted to have "cowhorns" and a fixed wheel, so I could go up and down while standing on the pedals!:

We used to ride them home from grammar school using our school ties tied to either end of the bars, and holdiing them like reins......................until one lad's "reins" came undone at one end, and he came off, fetching everyone else off into a heap on the road:

Never liked Chopper bikes, did like BMX in the eighties though, this brings back memories.

what frame is that BMX ?, a mate used to have one similar, called a "quadangle" or something, megabucks if I remember rightly

Bikes never did much for me untill BMX came out, the joys of jumping 9 people in the street from a home made ramp - happy days , even better when there was a crash involved

Grifters were ace - especially the padded crossbar. Great if you were to accidentally biff your head in it.
Don't forget the Striker too - this was the bike you had before you were big enough for the Grifter !

Anorak Alert:

I think those wheels on the BMX are the 'Skyway Tuff II' Best BMX wheel ever. I couldn't afford them, I had Acorns

I had a Grifter before the BMX, choppers were gay round our way
