When used properly they strengthen your muscles in the arm and shoulder.

UK hospitals have them for people who have broken their wrists.

They are great fun to use and really trick to get to 15k rpm.

What happens when you can't hold it - does it go shooting all over the room til the battery dies?
Not sure the wife would be too keen on that.

It will work all the arm to the shoulder depending on how you hold it. Comes with instructions and the Powerball website is very helpfull.

It doesn't use batteries except for the rev counter etc. It's a gyroscope so you control the speed. It won't fly accross the room it will just hit the floor. Not recommended.

I purchased one of these because of this thread, excellent fun and a great tool! Ive had mine about 24hours now, no really big spins as yet.

Just interested in what other people have managed?

My top score is 10900rpm

And 3600ish on the physical strength index
