For what must have been such a low budget film, you can watch it over and over again and still enjoy it.

Proves the point that you don't have to plough shed loads of money into a film to try and guarantee success.

I watched 'Class' last night starring Rob Lowe. This was from the same era (1983), and was excellent. How cool to have had a brand new Porsche 911 at 18?!

I agree that Weird Science is also excellent.

There's something about these films that I can't quite put my finger on. It's the atmosphere. Probably just something about them that reminds you of your youth.

LOL

What about Ferris Buellers Day Off ? ..
"Save Ferris Bueller? " .. " Go **** up a flagpole !"

"Now , whenever faking an illnes ,remember to lick your palms. It may seem childish .. but hey .. so's High School"

Another Hughes classic DVD to add to the list ....

These films are great nostalgia. However if you've watched it for the 1st time and you're 30ish then I doubt these films are going to be put in the classic collection.

However they are classics if you 1st watched them at 15, they remind you that once you had a youthful mind. Lost Boys is another example

Kelly le Brock? Not sure about that one - i think the Woman in Red scene is weighing on sentiment! However....
