Madgrip,
I have the same PDA. Best thing to do is to load the navigation software into the main memory and the maps onto the SD card. I have got a 128mb card which is more than enough for the UK.
I am unsure which way to go for GPS (originally tried to connect via Road Angel but could not get right cables).

If a PDA loses battery power than can get into a state where they cannot power on even with the charger plugged in.
Use the original base charger and leave the pda in it for at least 24hours, this should kick the battery into life, (My Ipaq needs a PC USB connection before it will turn on also when in this state) be very wary of leaving it with no / little charge for a period of time.

I've tried doing the hard & soft reset but it still wont turn on.If I put it on the cradle to charge ,after a while the light turns yellow(overheating) and the battery is hot to the touch.
when I used to put it in the usb cradle it used to turn on automatically, but not it dosnt.
Think it maybe Fcked.
I've tried everything I can think of but I still cant get it to switch on.
any other ideas ???
