What Do You Think To My Website ?
#1
My website is in the "just about finished" stage.
I'd really appreciate you having a quick look over the website and posting any :
- problems
- comments
- praise
The content may not interst some of you (its about my plant hire company) on the other hand it may do as its about JCB's etc
I'd just like to know what everyone thinks of it generally as a website, as I was the one that designed it(I didn't actually create it)
www.dskplant.co.uk
Many Thanks
Matthew

So.... whats your company policy on smoking?
Only joking!
Content looks fine, although I would try and standardise the fonts, background, footer etc across all the pages. Personally I would lose the graduated background with the white footer strip and have it the same colours as the front page. Stick to the "unofficial" JCB colours
Maybe also place the footer text in a fixed frame or table cell so that the width of the page doesn't affect where it lies. For example on some pages it looks like the footer text is meant to line up with the white strip, but on others it doesn't.

Nice to see you kept it simple and uncluttered. But loose the graduated background - keep to single colour like front page. I also noticed the gallery did not have std menu at top. I assume the page was generated by a tool? Better to get that menu in there for consistancy.
Good though.

thanks for the comments supertouring
The gallery page was a rush job - it will have the same layout as all the others when its finished
Does everyone think i should use the same background as on the homepage ?
Thanks for making it clicky

One thing I will say, have you permission to use the Manufacturers logos. I work for one of the Companies whos logo you have used. You need permission to reproduce these. I suggest you get it or you could be sued for breach of copyright.
Would'nt like to see you get into hot water.

Sorry I cant say who it is but they do prize their Logo and have been known to stop people using it if its unauthorised. I suggest that you drop each of the Companies a note asking for permission. If you are a Customer then its likely everything will be OK.
Just keeps you clear and you could make some useful contacts at the same time.

You have a spelling mistake
Heavy duty, ronust general purpose buckets
I presume it should read robust? Top line of attachments, not a bad site, dont like the pics in gallery, too dark and too small. If I was a Customer I would like to see more site shots. Showing the sort of works you undertake not just machines.
The thing to do is make it easy and pleasant to read. I'll see if I can get our marketing guys to have a look at it.
Good luck.

Pretty "clean", nice. As Scooby96 said, on the gallery page, you should keep the header of the other pages here as well.
Perhaps try and add some pic's to the pages that just contain text, such as, comp overview and attachments, to liven them up a bit.
And fix your email address, as stated above!! Lost sales could be going elsewhere.....!

Well thanks very much for the kind comments - although I didn't actually put the website on a computer, I did design it, so feel quite proud
All your comments have been taken on board and I will bring them up when I next see the company involved with it
Thanks again, and any more comments ?
