Well my dad has a very interesting background.. Fully retired now.


But Considering he could fly any plane known to man and could drive any vehicle etc you would have thought he would understand technical things...

So many years ago when Videos first came out . I bought him one. he had it in his bedroom. One day I popped in..and they where having a bit of a arguement about the TV noise at night. My mother was complaining that he kept her awake because he wanted to record a late film. he thought that If he turned the TV off it wouldnt record etc !!!! It took me ages to get him to understand!!!

I'm starting to take after him...

Yup, my Dad is turning into my Grandad....and I'm turning into my Dad

His lack of grip on any anything technical is starting to scare me.

He asked me the other day to unload the CD-changer in his car...even though he loaded it himself, and knew where it was. He got very annoyed when I told him to slide back the cover and then press the only button on there!

Don't even start me on mobile phone!

He still presses "reject call" to answer sometimes...even though I put it on "Any key answer" to help him. He can press any button to answer...except the Hang up button....

So what does he press? Arrrggh!!

Do you realise this subject pin points exactly what will be the cause of the end of our civilisation!? Bit deep I know but I think society cannot keep up with the huge leaps in technology which causes the generation gap to widen all the time. It used to be that older = wiser but this is no longer the case.
