3 times the speed limit...........Help!

Hyperthetically speaking..... If you were caught on one of the new forward facing speed cameras at 3 times over the speed limit does anyone know of the consequences these actions, what to expect or any possible ways of wriggling out of it?

Scooby Regular
I didn't think the Scoobie could do 210 MPH??!!
Well, not imports anyway!
I'm afraid you're going to have to take it like a man, it could be a ban! Couldn't you say the EVO triggered the camera, you were being overtaken or chased or something?

In view of how serious the situation is with pretty much a certain ban and a possible jail sentence looming you certainly need to fight it all the way. First thing worth considering is removing your post as it is a voluntary confession under PACE and could be admitted as evidence in court. I know it's a long shot but you are going to need everything you can get on your side for this one.
Assuming that car is in your name then the next step will probably be a NIP (notice of intended prosecution) through your door. Keep the evelope this arrives in as, legally, it can't be sent 2nd class. If it is 2nd class don't contact them under any circumstances, contact a solicitor. Don't speak to anyone without a solicitor, don't write to them and don't do anything at all. One word out of place and you've shot yourself in the foot. Treat every policeman as a two faced liar and you will be on the right track.
If an NIP arrives then you need to get yourself a solicitor with experience of motoring matters, not just any bloke hanging about the street. There are currently some good defences that are working well for a proportion of people who try them and you have nothing to lose by fighting it all the way. It will not be inexpensive but probably a lot more cost effective in the long run than a big fine, ban and prison sentence. All of these have long term consequences on your ability to get insurance, it's cost etc.
You should visit the following sites, in the case of the ABD and Safespeed site I would recommend signing up to their mailing lists as these have lots of good info and someone on there can put you in contact with a solicitor with direct experience on these matters. You will also need to keep a close eye on the case Idris Francis is taking through the High Court to determine if an NIP must be signed. If he wins then it is likely that going the unsigned route will work for you. If he loses you don't have a lot to lose:

http://www.safespeed.org.uk/unsigned.html
Also well worth a visit is pepipoo where they are having considerable success with the arguement that the NIP is admissable under PACE:

Good luck on this, I know people will say you should not drive at that speed etc. but the fact is you did and no one got hurt so you haven't actually done anyone any harm. It would be a shame to go to jail because you might have harmed someone but didn't.

Prehaps not!!
if as you say you were doing 210..... then according to the top gear trials, you need to go above 173mph and the camera cant see you... mind you knowing where they place these cameras... its probably a runway!!
