Can I remove the chicken wire mesh to leave a black hole or does there need to be something in the scoop to protect the IC?

Aesthetically that looks OK. Far better than the bright silver mesh you seem some cars with. It is colour coded to the car?

Not colour coded at all - looks like virgin chicken wire hence wanting to remove it!

Yep and the wipers are coming off as are the neon washer jets!!
Careful as fastman180779 sold the car to me and he's a regular on here
