Everytime i turn my pc system off at the mains my sub always makes a large bang/pop is this because of the electromagnet discharging? Is it normal?

They say you should switch the amp off first (if you have an external amp)before the PC - or reduce the vol if you dont.

The noise is a 'spike' - like a last gasp of breath from your PC as it dies... They can be very damaging to speaker cones as they can be big and violent!!!
