I have been off of the ciggies for 4 years, but got drunk and decided to have a packet.
Now i find i promise not to (to myself), but end up buying 10 and a packet of extra strong mints.
My missus will kill me.
Any suggestions? Should I come clean, try to quit or keep it a dirty little secret?

How old are you?
Own up, take the lumps and prehaps that might help you to stop again.
You're a fool to yourself if you think its the healthy option. Stop before you become addicted again - then it'll be harder. At the moment, you only "think" you're addicted & you're just being weak-willed.
If you were my partner, I'd know right away if you'd been smoking, mints or no mints...

She lets out the biggest sigh of relief ever and the **** just don't matter to her anymore

Off for 4 years, well you should be ashamed.
I had cancer and its not pleasant (not smoking related though I bet thats worse)and my kids either lost ALL their grandparents before they were born or when they were very young. All died of smoking related diseases.

Stop again and save your own life!
It may not seem a problem now, but it surfaces in many nasty ways in later years, just when you start to get the chance to enjoy life!
