That star about 2/3rd of the way through, which suddenly became 600,000 times more luminant than our sun. 600,000!!! I can't even begin to think what that must be like. Wow.

We're relevant enough to be the only known inteligent life anywhere. It is a credit to our own ingenuity that we are even remotely aware of such things. I have long thought of our solar system as a subatomic particle making up a single molecule in something as insignificant as the stem nut on a childs bicycle in a universe a single atomic leap larger than ours.
Maybe this comes from reading Arthur C.Clarke at a young age. Cool images though.

Amazing - just think, those things you have seen were like that 30 million years ago .... its all different now!

We are seeing things that happened at the time dinousaurs were roaming the earth!!

Thats star that brightened and then went dim again - imagine if that was a nuclear explosion from some superior form of lifeform? They are now 30 MILLION years on from that!
