of on a date down there on the 6th and 7th of december, so, as a mad notherner not used to the bright lights of daaahn saaaafff, any of you lot know any good pubs, clubs, eating houses and hotels/ b&b's (if i don't get invited back to their place) in the general area?

also are there any good bits of road worthy of investigation between york and reading?

Only just moved down last month. Live in Basingstoke but work in Reading. A few nice bars and restaurants by the riverside at the Oracle shopping centre. Not amazing but gives you a bit of choice. Ken Homs Restaurant "Yellow River Cafe" if you fancy some chinese.

Brannigans is open til late if you wanna stay up drinking.

Bar revolution is quite nice round the corner. Has a bar section where you can sit and chat but also a dance floor with loads of sofas and booths to chill out in. Loads of flavours of vodka too.

Jongleurs if you fancy a bit of comedy.
