Sounds like your best mate isn't really much of a mate and your girlfriend isn't much of a girlfriend.
Best thing would be to get on with your life and forget about them. Channel your anger into something else worthwhile. You don't have to use anger just to rearange someones features, you can use it as fuel to drive towards something successful. Then you can turn round and go "**** you, I don't need you, look what I did on my own"
Works for me, thats what drove me to start my own company six years ago. My old boss and colleagues are green that I made a success, but I could never have done it without them. None of them really speak to me as I guess the are jealous, they are still stuck there while I have gone and done it for my self.
And it feels good
When you get older and look back, it really will seem like a little blip rather than the mountain it appears to be now.
