Default Bigeye clock 2001

Hi

My clock has been playing up recently and doesn't work at all.i have previously re soldered a part inside which I'm guessing hasn't been the best repair. Anybody got an idea of the right soldering wire to use as I can't find the stuff I bought for the last repair.

Cheers Alex

Hi Alex, I had the same problem in my old bugeye. I resolved it by re-soldering. I just used standard soldering wire and soldered R510:

A few years later I had to re-apply the fix, but it remained working until I sold the car this year.

Soldering wire?
I assume you mean solder?

Try here:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/20G-TUBE-6...item2a3f6bce28

Wrap a 1cm piece round the joint and heat from beneath until the solder flows. Keep the iron in place until the solder has flowed into the joint, then remove the iron, but KEEP THE JOINT STILL until the solder sets.

Er,yes.

Soldering being the verb to solder ... excuse my poor English.

Yea I soldered the dry joint on mine. 8 months later the other one has now gone so will be redoing both ends on mine this weekend.
