Yes, absolutely, 'Just take these tablets Sir, they will put your heart into spasm ... could be fatal - BUT it will look damned good in the papers and you can resign'!!

I'll take that as a no then.
The more I think about it, the more it seems likely that this is paving the way for an honourable, face saving exit.
The fact that it happened quietly on a Sunday etc.... I bet the papers will be full of it (speculation) tomorrow...

You've been watching too much BBC1 news :rolleyes;
1st report says that it is a common, no real risk, problem, easily treatable, with no long term effects or dangers
2nd report with lemarr from downing street starts asking about his long-term prospects, reflecting on previous leaders with "health problems" and basically winding up the population to speculate he might be going
Not seen such cr@p on the news for ages

My dad had this heart condition. Ir's curable in most cases and if not, can be controlled by tablets. Maybe my dad was one of the lucky ones, but we seem to know quite a few people who have this irregular heartbeat thingy.
Point is, I know my pa doesn't 'run' the country, but he's as active as he's ever been, and I don't see this as a decent resignation excuse from Blair... I won't hold my breath!

my brother has a condition called super ventricular tachycardia , it causes the heart rate to speed up for no reason , i think you would be surprised how many have this condition . my mates bird had a heart rate of 160 bpm for a week in hospital .

I just think he could not stand the embarrassment of reporting to Parliament today on the EU constitution, that thing we are not allowed a referendum on even if it does deeply affect our sovereignty. He has left it to "Whispering Death to do instead!

prehaps ther is a god after all!!!!!
the best thing he could do for his country is to emulate the great David blaine,,, As you know ol tone likes to be everbodys friend...
go on do it put yourself in the box!!! just imagine it
cue the wringing hands / the sweaty shirt,, and tone steps ups and says " to show my countrymen just how i supported david i will
emulate his feat" then seal the box and throw away the key...
it would make great viewing roundabout 60 days!!!!

So which Private Hospital will Blair use if he requires treatment? Or how many will he jump in the NHS queue if he requires surgery and opts to use a 'commoners hospital'.
Lets hope Cherie takes her clothes off with the light on tonight - give that fecking liar a proper heart attack!!

that was my first thought too...is he 'stage managing' this process so he can retire with a 'sympathy vote'...?
Says something about the man - that no-one believes him, even when he has heart trouble...

I have a friend who works at the Beeb news - you might know him; strong 'R's & annoys old Tories who still hanker after Richard Baker...? Anyway he told me that when Bliar was picked up he had a small bottle of Evian in his hand and was hugging the ambulance driver through a profound veil of sweat and a fixed stare. He was also making hand gestures that can only be clinically described as 'small boxes syndrome'.
Strictly between you and me of course
