No but we used to have one in the office. Far to cute to eat! Oh and very poisonous. About 50 people a year die in Japan from eating it. Best left alone.
There was a long thread about this about 6 months ago. Can't do search from here otherwise I would repost it. Basically it doesn't have a strong flavour itself, but the whole idea is to leave in a tiny bit of the very poisonous liver which, in small amounts, can give you numb lips and a mildly hallucenogenic hit. I got tingling lips but nothing else, and, thankfully, my then japanese boss was paying in a very fancy Tokyo restaurant - I'm not exactly sure as it was all in Japanese, but I don't think there was much change from £300 for that one dish alone....The chef's have to train for years before they are allowed to prepare and serve fugu as it is classed as a dangerous substance with all sorts of eco hazard disposal rules etc as well
