After eating a meal last night i became quite ill.
I had horrendous stomach pains/cramps and spent best part of the evening on the throne, and also felt physicall sick all night. I had eaten nothing apart from some weetabix yesterday AM, so it is possible i got some sort of food poisoning from my meal (prawns starter, lamb main) or could it be an allergic reaction (eaten this food millions of times with no probs).
Cheers

My girlfreinds dad was clearing out his cupboards one day and i salvaged a tin of pate fois gras ( the stuff the make by force feeding geese ). had some on toast and launched it in the bin as it was pretty unpleasant. Spent the next 3 weeks of work with gastroenteritis. definately the worst 3 weeks of my life as i felt hideousley sick every single day. the doctor ended putting me on some tablets that are given to people having kemotherapy that combat the side effect of nausea.
on the flip side it meant i got to spend 12 hrs a day on the playstation.

Depends which bacteria is the cause of the food poisoning.
During my Food Hygiene course we were informed that the effects can be within half an hour or up to 48 hours later!!!
So, look back and think about other things that you have had.
One thing that surprised me on that course was that if you get food poisoning from a curry, it is more probable that the cause will be the rice!!!!!

rice that has been precooked, then allowed to cool, then reheated is an ideal breeding ground for the bacteria that lead to food poisoning.

As Steve said - rice is sometimes cooked in bulk and can be stored for next day use. (don't take that as the case for everywhere - this was an example given to us on the course )
This means it will be re-heated, if you then buy a curry, leave it and re-heat it at home then the chances of bacteria being present are pretty high.
There you have it
Pukes and squits galore if you aren't careful

I'd put my money on either rice or prawns, rice is a high protien food so very dangerous if left to cool slowly, the only way i would personally reheat rice is if it had been cooked, refreshed (run cold water over it to cool as quick as possible) and refridgerated, even then would still only use same day.

Blame the prawns. A few years back I ate a prawn open for lunch. Within 1/2 an hour I was blowing chunks (not the dog).
Went home, still puking, cramps etc. Went to hospital doubled over. They blamed the prawns. Recovered in a couple of days. Rang the place I'd eaten in to warn them - they denied it could have been their food but offer me a complimentary meal.....like that's just what I needed.
Hope you feel better soon. Food poisoning aint nice.
Hasn't put me off prawns BTW.

lol I did a Basic Food Hygiene course and a complete retard could pass it (which I proved). It makes me chuckle when you see them on takeways walls or in restaurants and they are displayed like they are a PhD

Aye, the basic food hygiene could be done without taking the course.
But I wasn't going to refuse a day on full pay whilst dozing off listening to someone drone on about food, I still scored 100%
The higher ones get a bit more interesting...........but not much
I have no idea where my certificates are. I think I hid them amongst my GCSE certificates
