A mate of mine has just bought a very cheap Mondeo estate at auction but it smells of dogs inside.

What's the best cure for this? Air freshener? A good clean inside with soapy water? A proper steam cleaner? A carpet cleaner? Leave the windows open for ages? The smell will disappear in a few weeks?

Apart from the smell, it's a nice car. Any suggestions?

Get a Karcher wet cleaner and give it a good scrub, making sure you suck up as much water back up as possible. Repeat if nessecary

Then follow with a load of extra strong Fe-breeze, and a few magic trees or an ambi-pur thingy on the air vent

Thumbs up

Shít on the back seat and close all the doors for a while.

The doggy smell won't be noticed any longer.

Fabreeze reduced the level of smell to about 5% immediately but there is still a 50% linger, especially when hot. What about a steam cleaner?

A cut onion left in there overnight will absorb a lot of the smell.

Works in fridges too.
