My next door neighbours went in their original cooper. Apparently there was some mental twin bike-engined mini that was quite a crowd puller?!

We went to the Rally Day at Castle Coombe...

Oh yeah Rich mentioned the rally day, sounded how was it??

'Twin bike engined mini?'-soundas a shed (crowd pullers an understatement, it was swamped all day!) yeah a few heads turned especially when I fired it up in the middle of a show

Cool

I'll speak to either Paul and H later on today then to hear all about it. (Bummer about Rich ) As for you starting your car up - tart!

When are you going to let me have a go in that btw?! You taking it down to Castle Coombe?

Edited to add - I'm doing just fine...

Dave,

I got a couple of people to give me some advice and prices in turbos and supercharging and have decided to keep them as they are for now due to a couple of reasons,

1) The car is having a few teething problems so putting loads more bhp through it might not be the best way to help it at the mo
2) Cant afford the stupid money I was quoted!!

Thanks for your advice anyway mate

No probs. If you want to chat to someone in the future then let me know and I can get hold of Jon at Maxsym.

Maxsym are the people behind the engine in the Radical that smashed the Nurburgring lap record, and also the people behind last years World Championship winning Sidecar outfit (running with an R1 engine). Have a look at my website to see the credentials of Jon Baker. Top lad. I will be seeing him in a couple of weeks time at Assen so will mention it to him.

Dont think mine would be holding up any milk floats unless there are some out there with more than 550bhp per ton!!!

Yer just jealous cos we've got a better power to weight ratio than your Scoob!

Yes matt, I was there on our club stand and have the sun burn to prove it! You should have come up for the 16Vminiclub group photo, even if you have too many valves! LOL

I'm feckin knacked after driving back last night, my scoobs a better M-way car!
