I know its been out for several weeks now, but I saw it last night and what a major dissapointment, has got to be the worst film I have seen in a long long time (even worse than MIB2!)
What the hell was Ang Lee thinking?
I was thoroughly bored 10 mins in, and that boredom remained with me until the film finished....
Did anyone here actually enjoy it?
My advice - save your money and watch the Ch5 re-runs of the TV series!

I hate movies with CGI effects instead of "proper" special effects. They always look like they are drawn by a cartoonist. For me the newer star wars movies, Lord of the rings etc were all ruined by the use of these crappy computer generated images. They may as well have got some animators to draw on top of the frames.
Total ****.
The Hulk sucks bigtime- I didn't even bother keeping it on my hard drive.

Yep I wont even bother, cant believe they choose to use some friggin oversized cartoon character, they should have just picked a real man mountain like old lou ferrigno back in the day, works so much better using a real person.
Hey perhaps they should have asked rik waller?

FFS guys, read the frickin comic books. You can't paint a guy green and expect him to be taken seriously. It's not a movie of a TV series; it’s a movie of a comic book on which the TV series is based.
I could have done a better job, I'm certain of it but some the criticism it's received isn't deserved. The hulk looked good and I'm a die-hard comic book fan and aspiring comic book artist so I consider myself somewhat of an expert.
Worse than MIB2? I don't bloody think so!

From my own experience of watching the movie, it depends on the expectations of it. When I first watched it, I expected to be taken on a rollercoaster ride of action, thrills and spills, be taken aback by the CGI used etc.
Sadly, nothing happens for the first 40 mins, and by then I was annoyed.
Second time I watched it, I knew what to expect, and found the movie to be less boring, and maybe got some more enjoyment from it.
I still don't rate the film. It's not a patch on Spider-Man or either X-Men flick. The Hulk looks good in most scenes, but his animation teeters towards looking like Buzz Lightyear at times, and facially, he reminds me of Meat Loaf.
Nick Nolte should be executed after this role. What a pilchard. And after my mate pointed out that he sounded like Dudley Moore's perverted telephone voice (from the days of Pete & Dud), it was never going to be taken seriously.
And before you all remind me it's a comic character - I know. I love comics. Have hundreds of graphic novels. Just seems a waste of a golden opportunity to me. Bah!
Oh, and WTF inspired anyone to include that dog-fight scene???

Sti, like it or not 99.999999% of the whole world thinks of Lou in ripped shorts and shaggy hair when they think of the Hulk......they dont think of a giant cartoon that looks like the Tennage Turtles should be fighting it.
Expectaions not meet......its like saying sharks dont really bite boats so we'll make jaws about a shark that nips a girl (mistaken her for a fur seal) then leaves her alone and goes away to eat penguins. NO....drag Quint of the boat and chew him up you sonofabitch!
T
ps- do cartoons still exist? i havent seen a Beano in years!

well, I thought it was utter utter rubbish.
Comic books can be successfully transfered onto the big screen - Xmen2 proved this (as did Spiderman, Xmen, Batman etc etc) all of which, whilst not being masterpieces were 500% more enjoyable than the Hulk.
Ang Lee should be ashamed!
