Anywhere near Las Ramblas is good. Its where all the best bars and restaurants are.

Good girlie shopping just up from Place de Catalunya too.

The one we stayed in was called "la ramblas" apartment and supposedly slept up to 12 people but was just about right for 7 of us! I don't see it on there now... some of the others near the ramblas look pretty good as well though.

Brilliant place for a weekend - hope she has a great time.

PS make sure you do the Red and Blue line bus tour - well worth the Euros. It takes you to all the spots AND you can get on and off as you like...
