This years' Network Q Rally - accomodation
#1
Hi all -
I'm off to the Network Q Rally for the first time this year - I've ordered my tickets but now need to find some accomodation.
I'd be willing to rough it, but my mates want to B&B it - can anyone recommend B&Bs that they either know of or have used near Swansea - not worried about them being of really high quality - a pub nearby is probably more important - but equally we don't want to stay in a pit.
Any one have any ideas?
Cheers,
Den

I know you've said you're after B+B but have you thought of renting a cottage? I go to the RAC every year and we always rent a cottage that sleeps 6 - 8 of us. It works out dead cheap and you're not disturbing anyone at unearthly times in the morning as you leave to go off spekkying

Hi Sal -
Thanks for the tip, but as I'm only going with two other mates, it's probably not worth looking at a cottage.
I wasn't sure if looking around for accomodation now was OTT - just thought it might get busier the later I left it.
Guess I'll have to ring around and pick one blindly...

Dont be a lightweight, like Richard says, do some marshalling and sleep in the car.
I have been doing it for the last god knows how many years and I would not have it any other way

Tsk, tsk, stay overnight in Wales ? No, you don't want to do that, you want to get up at midnight and drive to Wales, spend the whole day driving like a loon down B or unmarked (or even untarmac'ed) roads, get in four stages and then get caught in the queue coming out of Sweet Lamb for three hours, drive like a loon again, then get back home at about midnight, oh, and do this lot in a convoy of at least two other cars, all of which need super unleaded about every 30 miles.
Or you could get a B+B
