I have an omega seamaster which I think is from around the 1960's it says, Omega, automatic, turler, geneve on the front. Has a date calendar
on back it has seamaster and embossed seahorsey thingy
steel bracelet.
any idea how old this is and if it's worth anything??
I could take a picture of it, if it helps..

WWSD, why not nip down Selfridges one lunchtime? There's usually at least one bod in their watch department who knows what they're talking about, in my experience. Or any of the jewellers in Bond Street i'd have thought...

- not one of 'em recognised the watch - all said they would have to "send it away for a couple of weeks"

Had a similar thing with my Rolex. Was my fathers, bought in the 60's (I think) when he was in the army.
We had to send it off to Rolex to be valued, and they came back that there's nothing on the market close to that type/style of watch, and the nearest they could do was one that was £2,500.

If you have all the original paperwork, ie box, warranty etc with the serial number, Omega should be able to tell you over the phone what model etc it is.

WWSD - Turler is the name of an upmarket jeweller in
Germany/Austria, bit like Tiffanys in New York.
Try a Google search - might bring something up?
alan
p.s. I'm not an expert on this, but, Seamasters' usually have
'Seamaster' on the dial - your watch looks like a 'Geneve'

Yup Alan, I found out Tuerler yesterday, these watches are sold in only two shops in the world, Zurich and Berlin
Yes I'm confused about the seamaster thing, as ithas the embossed back cover with it on..
Gonna have to wait for Omega to clarify methinks..

This is like Only fools and Horses.....
Will it be worth a Mint I ask myself.... Could it be the Long Lost Turler Seamaster Omega watch made by "Tim Tock" the greatest ever watch maker who ever graced this earth.....
Could we be threading with a potential Millionaire.....
All will be revealed.... In Time... (No Pun intended)

Probably LOL - don't really care what it's worth as my dad found it on a beach in 1974
Just trying to find history on it, waiting for a response from Omega now.
