...and has returned to his London penthouse pad.
I can just picture him sitting there sipping fine champagne and crowing about how he is back in circulation. Ugh, I feel ill...

ah horlicks, you can see why crims find it so hard to get a job and integrate back into society cant you, with mindless hatred from a few car enthusiasts, of a man who told a few porkys and liked the odd knee-trembler down the alley....
where`s the hardship in that?
who was hurt by it all? you? nah didnt think so...
keep it in perspective wont you

Diablo, I think if you read it to the end you will notice that the cheek contains some tongue - at which point it starts to get bloody funny
I was killing myself at this bit:
I was killing myself at this bit:
5pm: Phone Mary to ask her how the high court case against her former PA Jane Williams is going. I've only got seven units left on my phonecard, so the conversation is perforce rapid and I can't quite follow what she's saying. Something to do with a bitch, a trout and a jerk, but not at all clear who's who.

If they treated every criminal the same as they treated Archer then this country would be a better place.
All the man done was tell a few lies. A girl in South London was gang raped be 7 youths and one of them only got 7 months. Hows does that work???????????

A lot of people are jealous of Archer which is why he got 4 years. You dont give someone a totally disproportionate sentance just because you dont like them.
IMO he has every reason to feel victimised by the whole process.

I don't think its jealousy, more the fact that he's a conniving, lying little ****. Therefore a lot of people find him repellent in the extreme and would like to have seen him serving real hard time.

South-Star,
I obviously did not put my point across correctly. What I was saying was if every judge sentenced every criminal in the way they sentenced Archer, then we would be free of a lot of scum. I too am in agreement with you that he was treated rather harshly in relation to a lot of other criminals.

his sentence had **** all to do with having an affair it was purely and simply the fact that he perjured himself on the stand. a very serious offence for which the judiciary naturally took a dim view.
otherwise anyone could stand up in court and lie and just get a slap on the wrist whilst seriously screwing somone else's life.
He not only perjured himself but coerced two other people (his secretary and Ted Francis) into to helping him and also lying on the stand which makes it conspiracy to pervet the course of justice
Equally serious.
Ok he didnt physically harm anyone but there were alot of kurds pinning there hopes on his mythical 57 million.
He is about as morally corrrupt an individual who has ever entered public life
