Did anyone watch the program last night?
I thought they came across pretty well last night & were justified & consistent in there showing of allied casualties & POW's although the source of the tapes is questionable.

Unhappy

Interesting that they say they have 2 million Euoropean subscribers now. (That'll be all the terrorists and migrants then)

And that they are launching an English language service soon. (for the tree huggers I guess)

Fabulous doc - counteracts the propaganda we get in from UK media and gvt.

Al Jazeera was however completely out of order in showing the coalition captured being prodded and 'interviewed'. General shots of either side casualties is OK, but NOT specific or set up shots or/and with unpixellated faces.

I concluded that the yanks purposefully fired on Al Jazeera in that well known Baghdad hotel as punishment. I think that is clearly MUCH MUCH worse. Little girl lost her dad there...

I think they showed balanced reporting, showing pics from both sides. I am sure there are plenty or iraqis still grieving as well. The difference is they are sat in bombed out cities with no electricity or fresh water & a puppet government in power controlling THEIR oil.
At the end of the day I thing the BBC were brave to show this documentary which highlighted the way the military propaganda machine choses which incidents to report.
War is about death & disease & they try and make it acceptable by pushing the idea that precision munitions are 'clean'. It's all good and well showing images from laser guided weapons showing accurate hits but they are not likely to show ones that miss are they? At the end of the day, these weapons are not designed to be cleaner or nicer, just more lethal & efficient.
