Our ThornEMI Microwave from 1986 has just gone BANG!!
It doesn't owe us a penny, it cost £250 way back then!!
Anyone any hint on what to buy? I have seen ones for £60!!?? And others for £150ish which are combination ovens - are these worth the extra??
All we ever use a microwave for is typing in a time and pressing COOK!! However, our old one had a program thing where you could, say, cook for 5 minutes, hold for 10minutes, cook on low power for 2 minutes, etc. which is quite handy sometimes!!
Any hints??
Thanks
Pete

We have a combination one - it's good for Jacket Potatoes but that's all I've used it for. Oh - and at Christmas to cook extra vegetables. It's a bit too big though and cost £180, I think. Will be getting a £60 or £70 disposable one when it goes bang.

Take your old MWave unit and get a Radio Shack / Maplin voltage convertor and dismantle the MWave unit and sit it on a Gatso with a power source... the Gatso is dead in 40 seconds flat... totally FU'd... very expensive to replace... total wipe out £35k a slice... keep 12feet away and it won't fry your *********...
