Seems like a lot less people are having a traditional round the table Sunday lunch these days. Shame really as its a good time to have a family get-together.
Seems the youngsters all want Mcd's(I know what id rather have) and others just couldnt be bothered or dont know how to cook it.
Sadly another British tradition is on the way out.
Chip.

Cant beat a good roast. Nice bit of pork with crackling. But they key bit is defintely the gravy - it makes a roast. I think most people cant be arsed these days as its a fair bit of effort if you have all the trimmings. Especially when you can go down the pub and get it for £7. One of our local pubs does the best roast ever. The scottish beef melts in your mouth and the gravy is gorgeous with a hint of red wine. And your own plate of veggies.

admit I use Bisto Best gravy though!
Actually the Aunt Bessie yorkies you have to bake are pretty nice - but the pre-baked ones are rank.

I luv a good Roastie myself Chickin is easy to do at home... but for the full (beef, pork, lamb) works find a good pub and make it a treat. No prep and no washing up By good I mean one where they are like your mum in that they say "have as much as you like, and there's plenty more if you want it"... heaven
