Basically, guy has his motor nicked, phoned dibble, "Sorry sir, we're not interested".
Surely they have a duty of care to uphold the law, and this constitutes dereliction of duty ?
50 years of liberal wet do-goody politically correct noncy attitude to criminals has got us nowhere but down in a festering crime ridden deep sh1thole. But of course, a get tough policy won't work.
How do you know unless you try ?

You have to look at the root cause - it's easy to judge others less fortunate than yourself. Why should we persecute a thieving little ****** just because he can't be bothered to get off his fat **** and do something legal in order to fund his drug problem.

'We have to grade incidents into those that need an immediate response and those that can be given a planned response or handled over the telephone.
"We received a further call at 12.48pm from the owner. It was again explained that all units were busy on more urgent inquiries and we could not immediately attend and it was suggested he could drive the vehicle home.'
Says it all really. They can be ars*d to do motorists and wait in laybys but anything else is 2nd fiddle.
