Says in Times today that Smokey bacon flavour crisps are to be banned under a new EU directive as the smoke flavour is artificial rather than real smoke. These people are just a total joke. Havent they got anything more important to do.

Amazing!! You don't smoke them so you can't call them smokey. But, you can cover them with MSG to make you want to eat more when you don't need to.

Why not ban chicken, beef, oxo. cheese&onion,prawn cocktail etc as none of them have got any of the real product in them anyway.

What about hedgehog then???? pretty sure they don't use real hedgehogs! Or come to think of it they might aswell ban them all because all of them are flovoured artificailly? How the **** do you add cheese and onion flavour to a potato??? do you roll it around a sandwich prior to bagging them????
