When me and the Enemy get married next Feb, do we actually have to exchange rings by law as part of the ceremony or not ?
Reason is that i got her engagement ring from Sydney when we were there in 2000, and we want to get a matching ring for her from the same jeweller and one for me. Due to the distance probs the jeweller cant help out unless we get the rings after the event.

Use a plastic flower one from a cracker for her and a skull one from the market for you.
They are just a symbol for the day and it would add some comedy value to the proceedings.

You don't need to. We decided to get married in a hurry (18 mths ago now), and wanted rings made to a particular design, in platinum to boot, which were frankly impossible to get hold of in time.
At the Registry Office they gave a form to fill in so the Registrar wouldn't ask embarrassing questions at the ceremony. I think there were 3, I can remember Will You Exchange Rings (yes/no) and Do You Want to Kiss after the Vows (yes/no); ie, he wouldn't say "You may now kiss" and get the answer "Thanks but I'd rather not". I remember we answered no to all, which looked quite unromantic
Please take a tip from me: after buying your wedding ring, perhaps at great cost (mine was about 400 quid) and getting sentimentally attached to it, do not then go diving on your honeymoon while wearing it. You may surface and find it's not there. If anyone dives in Mango Bay in Koh Tao (Thailand) and finds a distinctive platinum ring about 4m down in the sand, do let me know . I couldn't even claim insurance as it was clearly due to my own negligence :even madder, particularly at myself:
Enjoy the day

i got married with my dads wedding ring and my wife borrowed one of her mate...all at the last minute.
we then flew to NY and got our rings at Tiffanys, which is like Samuels only with more 000000's and some doormen with guns!
