And right on the corner as you come into town.

How long before the first accident as somebody comes round the corner, sees em and slams on.

Don't think they are working at the mo. Covers over the lenses and no markings on the road.

I hate those forward facing jobbies. I think you should at least have a sporting chance

Thanks for the heads up. I pick my Scoob up on Saturday and I'll be going that way.

I seem to remember that Nottingham was the first place to use traffic light red cameras when I used to live in Rainworth. Sounds almost as bad as down here now for speed cameras.

how do these new forward facing cameras work.

Lots of new ones gone up in Southampton, but are covered up at the moment.

Cool

Leslie,

Nottingham was the first for the red light jobbies and the Specs digital syatem. Gatso's are every where.

We have escaped the forward facing cameras (Apart from SPECS) but looks like they are coming in.

I live a couple of minutes from Rainworth. If you haven't been back for a while you won't recognise the local Skoda dealership. From small back street place to main dealer transformation, new bypass as well.

If we have to put up with front facing cameras then I think m/bikes should have to have front nr plates!

How do these cameras work at night when you have them blinded with your h/lights?

Exclamation

You won't see markings on the road because Truvelo is triggered by induction loops and only requires a single photo to prove the offender's identity, not to confirm speed. The photo is IR and so headlights will not wash it out. Perhaps an Infra red source all round the numberplate would work?

good question.

What about M/Bikes. Isn't that discrimination against cars ?

If I remember rightly the induction loops show as two black marks and for verification I believe they need to paint 3 white strips.

@marklemac: look at the speedtrap bible and search for truvelo, to find out more than you want to know

Demondave, your journeys will be very slow if you slow down for every black mark in the road

Unhappy

A young girl was killed whilst crossing the road about 1 mile from where I live in Wigan. Where was she crossing the road.......

Right and I mean right next to a Gatso. I guess the driver was more interested in the camera than the road.

Accident prevention at its best. NOT.

Guys, you know the specs cameras on the Nottingham ring road, are they only for the outside lane? I've notice that they all point to the outside lane and there is a very faint cross on the road where they are focused.

Any technical data on these appreciated...
