has anyone got paid for informing Blackspot of new speed camera locations? I believe you were supposed to get £50 for every new site, yet i have downloaded the information to them for 9 new sites that were not previously in their database. I always updated my road angel just before i registed the new sites to make sure they were not on the latest database, none of the 9 were.

Cool

IIRC was it the Geodesy unit offering the 50 pound reward?

How goes it? Mail me sometime.

I know with geodesy you got a £50 reward for a new site but you had to be the very first one to upload the new camera location and they had to visually verify it is a permenant location for the camera.

Does black spot do a similiar incentive ??. Thinking of buying one. Does anyone know of someone getting a reward from any company or is this one of those things they can hide bhind terms and conditions and never pay out.

I think you'd be hard pushed to prove you were the first, without seeing their upload logs

I bet the people who determine all the camera-sites all have Geodeseys

Yeah Geodesy are *******s anyway, uploaded a camera to their database then rang them but they told me that because it was by a traffic light that it probably wasn't a speed camera so it wasn't needed. Drive past same camera 6months later & it now sets off my Geodesy FFS

No Blackspot (Road Angel) don't give money for new camera locations, others do.

I have seen posts questioning whether Geodesy pay £50 or not. Thought it was on here, but may have been elsewhere! At least one person claimed they had been paid £50, but could have been a morpheus employee!

I also thought that when reporting new cameras to Geodesy not only did you have to upload your Geodesy, you also had to phone them to say you had seen a new camera. Last time I looked for the number I either couldn't find it, or lines were shut at the time, I can't remember which!

Presumably it will become more unusual to find new camera sites Morpheus don't know about, because the "Safety Partnerships" issue press releases stating where they will be.

Wink

I spotted two new ones. Rang them. Then uploaded them. It took over a month for them to show up on a morpheous download. I never got a penny or a call back.

When you ring them and give a description (road name, coordinates etc.) of the location they cannot tell you at the time if it has already been reported.

I think its a con. I havent bothered reporting any since.
