Guess who is just off out to buy a card etc now 
Thankfully I know that my mother is not at home at the moment so I have an hour to go out, get something and then come back home.
I wonder if she would appreciate a tank full of Optimax?

Have just been frantically looking for the card the girlfriend got for me to give to Mum! Found it and dragged the flowers out of the car to score myself some brownie points!

You lot have the wrong idea.
I have my mum trained to despise the commercialisation of Mothers Day and hence don't have to waste effort on cards or flowers.
A big hug usually works!
