Comedy Club?
#1
I want to go to a dodgy, back street, smoke filled comedy club.
Don't want anything to popular, just some seedy place in London.
Anyone got any ideas on this??
Cheers

There are loads of others, but these are the ones I've been to (and heartily recommend):
--------
Comedy Store, Oxenden St. Nearest tubes Leicester Square/Picadilly Circus:
Top quality comedians. Many are people that have been on the telly on programs such as "Who's line is it anyway" etc.
I went to improv night recently and it was excellent, although not exactly seedy.
---------
Comedy Cafe, Rivington St. Nearest tube, Old Street.
Not quite as professional overall as the Comedy Store, but pretty good nonetheless. Some names can be seen here. Slightly more "seedy" than the comedy store.
----------
Jongleurs Battersea, The Cornet, 49 Lavender Gardens, SW11. Nearest BR, Clapham Junction.
Pretty good comedy, and the most seedy of all.
---------
Try a search on the following site for other venues.

comedy store is great, been there a few times, but not for a long while. Last time we went Phil Jupitus was on, and a few other guys who are now on TV. Plus there was a special set by some bald bloke called Lee Hurst, no idea who he was though
Was a great laugh, especially some ***** who was harrasing Rhona Cameron, who decided to try and get up on the stage with her, lets say that he was removed at rather great speed, to our great amusment.
