I'm thinking about buying one of these, getting very bored of the 9110 and the 9210 is full of bugs.
I can get this for £276.04 + vat for the 64MB version.
Is this a good buy?
Thanks in advance,
Cem

Cem,
that sounds a VERY good buy!!
I bought one via the Compaq Employee Purchase Scheme for not much less, and thought that it was an absolute bargain
Trubble is that you are going to end up spending a fortune on jackets and add-ons - now if you can get those cheap as well...!!

In general they are good. Biggest pain with them is the poor battery life. With moderate use they need charging every couple of days. Go on holiday for 2 weeks, leave it at home, and you'd be doing a full restore when you got back.
Price must have come down a bit, I paid around 400+VAT a few months ago.
Gary.

Cem,
At that price, I'd be interested too
I am presuming that is for the colour version, 64Mb, i.e. the H3660?
Is this an offer open only to you through some special discount, or can you give the details

Definitely a good price although it might be worthwhile speaking to gregh for more information (if NDA allows), as I believe there are some newer ones coming out soon.

Bearing in mind that a 64MB colour iPAQ is around GBP550 list price, a circa three hundred deal is pretty damn good.
Sure there will be faster, cheaper versions in the future (Moores Law!), but ya gotta survive until that future!!!

Any chance of a group buy on this?
I've been thinking of getting one and this price is cheaper than the US!
If there is any chance of getting one please let me know.
Also, anyone going to M-Commerce World at the London Arena today?
Cheers for now,
Richard

I've had one for about 2 months and find it excellent mostly but there are a few things i dont like. For one, it can only synchronize with one Outlook file and this is a pain if you use more than one like we do. Secondly the add-ons are very expensive as mentioned. Thirdly, the amount of software available for them (especially free) is not as good as for palms. On the plus sides the software is improving, the screen is fantastic, it handle large amounts of data far quiker than any other pda i have tried and all files are immediately compatible as you are actually running mini versions of the same PC software.
Overall, worthwhile machine, very good price - buy it.
