I'm looking for a fairly cheap basic digital camera capable of taking simple snapshots for uploading to a website. Zoom is not neccessary but picture editing would be handy. Anyone got any suggestions, best place to buy Etc. Looking to spend around £200

Cheers

Kodak DC215 ( I think thats the model )
That gives good results..
I've just upgraded my old DC210 for a Nikon Coolpix 995

Best deals as usual are on-line. I am looking at a Fuji 4800 and have found it £100 cheaper on-line. Just type make and model number into main Lycos search window.

I went for the Fuji 1300 finepix, good starter camera, plus I bought a 128mb smartmedia card - stores 100's of pics. Camera sourced using this site -

We bought a Canon Powershot A10 1.3 mega pixels for just under £300 but I'm sure you can get it a lot cheaper on the web

It's got a basic zoom and has a choice of manual or auto settings. The editing software is excellent and completely idiot proof - even I can use it!

The picture quality is great for a basic camera
