"I now have an answer for you; sorry for the delay it's sometimes
difficult getting a response from the big management companies.
Anyway, Ricky Gervais is in principle available on the 17th of June.
However he will not appear in character as David Brent. He will do a
stand-up cabaret set (25 minutes or so). His fee for this is £22,500
plus VAT and expenses.
If you would like me to pursue this any further please let me know".

I've had this before, does he own the rights to the David Brent character?
Tried to book Alan Partridge for an event and was told that Steve Coogan couldn't use the character without the permision of the BBC.
(20 ish sounds about right)

At a company kick-off meeting in Vegas recently, we had Wayne Krantz and Jim Lovell from Apollo 13 (The real ones ...)
Cost the company $50k....
Ahhh, I love the software business.

I think charging that kind of money is obscene. I blame the idiots who are prepared to pay it-no wonder the TV licence is so expensive. No one on this Earth is worth that kind of money! I also find it difficult to believe that the BBC will charge a blind person half the licence fee.
