Charles Hurst (owner of the biggest car dealership complex in Europe) has just opened a specialist car showroom. All the cars are 50 grand +. I was standing outside it yesterday with my little face pressed to the fence when the salesman and a prospective buyer can out of the showroom and jumped into a Testa Rossa. They fired it up and took off down the road. The sound was absolutely awesome. I have never heard anything so sweet. They also have Diablo, an F40 and a number of 355s 360s etc as well as a range of Aston Martins, Bugattis and other exotica (erotica?), constantly tearing in and out, but nothing sounded quit the same. Anyone know if I can get a V12 in a scoob?
p.s. Anyone know if a 180 degree V12 is the same as a flat 12?

Yup, 180 degree 12 is a flat 12
Diablos at full chat sound pretty mental.
McQueen's Mustang in Bullet ranks pretty highly on the cool sounds scale.
LOL...my Integra at 8,500 rpm through a tunnel is quite a aural delight

I thought in Norn Iron, the enthusiasts preferred to burn up in a bus!
So what sort of bod has the dosh to buy and can they insure them?
Are they all orange?

Nah - They have a Ferarri approved paint shop for green resprays if necessary. I think if you have a hundred grand lying spare to buy a toy you probably won't be worrying too much about the insurance. This one was a 1984 with 6000 miles on the clock and one owner. 350 miles a year - what is the point.

Not been over for a while the Puff? Almost every road in the south has been replaced with a new motorway. Once they do Donegal and Conemarra there will be no A or B roads left. I was speed testing my R1 on the main road from Sligo to Galway one day. Flat out at approx 170MPH (it is amazing how being in another country can influence your regard for the law) when I heard a noise behind me. That in itself was quite amazing as the wind blast would normally drown out a rock concert in your crash helmet. I looked under my arm to see a yellow pointy thing approaching at great speed. He went past me like I was stopped. Got to a garage a few miles later and he was in filling up his McClaren. Didn't seem to be having too much trouble with the potholes
Forgot to mention - as the chaps left yesterday they pulled into a garage round the corner. I followed them (sad muppet that I am) and watched in amazement while they put 100.00 quid of petrol in.

New roads. This does seem to be one massive advantage that EU money (ie UK and German subsidies) have brought to the "poorer" European members. I think you'll find the main Malaga road has a motorway like by pass, and in order to use up the money, they built a by pass for the by pass in case it gets too full!
Celtic tiger my ****. Us and the salmon trouts are paying for that.

Aha. I thought the Irish genetic modification process had been uncovered. You know that half our tourist industry revolves round salmon fishing and the other half round trout fishing. Irish scientists have been working away for yyears and combined the two.
BTW - Can i personally thank all the English and Germans for bringing full employment to Ireland for the first time in 80 years. Of course, the lack of social security payments combined with the extra taxes are not the reason behind rural revival and the implementation of a decent transport infrastructure. It is simply Barry sending us some EU cash. Cheers M8
