Anyone else here got a passion for the old mans game?
Interested to see where you play and what handicaps we have here.
I'll start....
Kosy (Handicap 10) Memeber at Dundas Parks GC and uni membership at St Andrews (Old Course, New Course, Jubillee and Strathtyrum)
Just had a cracking round today on the Old. Best thing is my comprehensive season ticket cost just 105 pounds! Thats what a tourist pays for one round! Best uni or what
(PS Mods please dont move to sports forum as i think golfers may lurk here.. being intellectual and all )

I am a member at Loch Ness GC in Inverness. Its on the side of a big hill and is very hard going. There's not enough courses in Inverness so LNGC is has to be. On last years performances at LN i would be about 14 handicap but on other courses I score a lot better, my lowest was 3 over last year (not on LN)

i am member of Bright Castle golf club just the other side of Downpatrick, which up until last year had the longest hole in the uk 760 yrd par 6. this was reduced to a 580 par 5 as we got a new computer in to do the handicaps and it dont do par 6s. still the first 4 holes are still pretty long 2200 yards in. pretty tough by all accounts. i have been playing on and off for a couple of years but i am still classed as a hammer thrower.
if u want good golf course then try ireland. some great courses over here specially in donegal, ahhh......murvagh, ballyliffin.

I'm junior captain at my golf club but don't get to play as much as I'd like, what with college and work.
However, I did get to play today, rather cold and hard to keep joints from freezing but good fun over all.
Cheers

Me too. Used to be junior at Cavendish at Buxton, but gave it up in my early teens (a regret) and only came back a year or so ago.
Not really planning to become a member anywhere yet, there are lots of great municipals close to us (in particular Wharton Hall near Warrington and the 2 courses at Hill Valley near Whitchurch are superb). Gaining experience playing different courses and holes, as well as a bit of fresh air, a little wager and some social banter is good enough for me.
Playing off around 20 at the mo (unofficial). I'm not a big hitter, and tend to play the percentages. As time passes, the accuracy and distance is improving as a result. Enthusiasm, and being such a bad loser definately rules over talent though.
We should have a weekend away.

I've been known to play. But my last game was in June 2001. I'm still in a huff after receiving an absolute tanking . I reckon I was playing to around 18,19,20 maybe?
I always get critised for being to casual too

USed to play at Cairndhu on the Antrim Coast. Was off 9 but quit when I discovered women an beer. Getting back into it noe, but probably around 15ish.
Bigsinky - I have played Bright. I'm glad they got rid of the par 6. I hate it when you have played 3 and still can't see the green
