Consequences of drink driving

Did you also know that well over 50% of alcohol related traffic accident fatalities are drunk pedestrians, maybe we should all just give up drinking . That'll please the temperence movement that seems to be forming.

How come you found the really depressing stuff?

What will we be posting next FFS, pictures of dead from speeding.Regardless of your 'warning' its pure sensationalism. Why don't we just start a Shocker Forum, see who can find the most horrible pictures on the net.
Personally I think the mods need to have a look at themselves for allowing this type of posting. Your 'warning' is of ZERO consequence, this is possibly one of the sickest posts I've seen on here in my opinion and please no crap about Drink Driving, we may as well just start posting snuff pictures of car crashes FFS.

They look real enough to me Si.
Camk - Leave it off mate. If it is real it pushes the point across. It may be extreme, but i think Si's warning was enough.
Peace man

Maybe most reasonable people don't require sick (possibly false) posts like this to act like adults. Lets justify where are we now then kids, we've got a sick possibly false post on the BBS, we're trying to justify it on the back of some crusade against Drink Driving.
I only wish the 'Holier than thou' among our BBS were as careful about how they drive whilst sober as they seem to be about preaching about the Evil's of DD. As I said where does it stop, already someone else has posted a topic on the consequences of DD, probably containing 'other' pictures, I haven't checked. Lets just trawl the net and see what we can drag up.

For those that think this sort of thing has no place on a public bbs, I have to disagree strongly
I would take it further and have it on TV adds too
Unfortunately you need sensationalism like that (whether it's real or not) to actually get through to morons who drink and drive. Even then it only has a glimmer of hope of getting through
If anybody has had friends needlessly killed by drunk drivers then I'm sure they feel that anything that may even make one person think twice is a good idea in whatever form it takes.
It did say
so seems fair to me.

yes and those who have lost folks really need reminded by crap like this. This will be my last reply, you cannot justify sick posts with some sort of moral crusade against Drink Driving. What about those who have possibly lost folks due to 'spirited driving',lift off over steer, fuel surge, unexperienced boys in powerful cars, speeding on the many private roads in the UK...I could go on. Blinkers on guys.

camk,
Get real. She is disfigured. It isn't disgusting. It is a disfigurement which resulted from an avoidable collision.
"Jacqueline believes, as we believe, that this is too important not to use powerful images,"
If she is unsuitable for this BBS, is she also unsuitable walking down the street?
What about Simon Weston. Do you run screaming from the room when he is on telly?
Blinkers.... Hmmm.

Well what makes me think is.
Look at the bottom picture and the 8th picture up from it.
Look at the eyes, also a friend in the medical profession said it doesnt look like a skin graph either.

If you have lost someone close due to this then I'm sure you too will find that a pint glass is a painful reminder, as is a car passing in the street, as is an ambulance, as is a police officer, as is a hospital, as is the sight of blood or a screech of brakes. The reminders are always there mate everywhere
Not as if you accidentally stumbled on it when Si put a very plain to see warning on the link
This has nothing to do with the so-called other menaces of speeding etc that you pathetically listed.
Why don't we go on and mention all the 60 something women who drive daily whilst valiumed out their heads or the idiots all out of their faces on drugs
You've got to tackle these issues one by one and the police/government do their bit with hard hitting tv adds re speeding (ie. kill your speed, not a child) and personally things like this should be encouraged.
You can always look away

That's awful, guys.
OTOH, I often drive after drinking a few glasses of wine, and I dont usually hit people coming the other way. It says the guy had a few beers. I'm not saying he should have had them or anything like that, but dont you think that there is a lot of people crashing simply because they cannot drive? I've been to Venezuela and people there are maniacs behind the wheel, risking people's lives all the time, drunk or tipsy or sober. You dont stop for police barriers there or if you do you will have to give them money.
Things like that happen all over the world, but this particular story seems far-fetched to me...

Camk get real.
It has had the desired effect and 100% are shocked. If 1 person on here stops drink driving then it has worked and might have saved a life in the future.
Agreed there is a morbid curiousity that surrounds these things (like slowing down at accident scenes) but that is life. If more of these images were bombarded on tv then the world might be a better place!

Claudius....Read the account on the link I posted earlier.
The accident happened in Texas not Venezuela. It also tells thet the guy had a few drinks with his mates (2-3 beers) then drove to a party and drunk more. He was seen in a intoxicated state leaving the party.
As far as you admitting that you drive after a few glasses of wine, all I can say is I hope you will be able to live with yourself if you ever cause something like this to happen because your reaction, concentration or judgement has been effected by "a couple of glasses of wine"
The simple answer is if you are driving then DON'T drink anything at all.

Ok, sorry for not reading the whole thing...
EVERYBODY in France that is over 16 years old drinks two glasses of wine with dinner, and I dont think there are more acidents than in other countries?
I agree you get affected a little by drinking a little, but come on...
I always wanted to drive on a track, time is until I reach my best time, then have a beer and wait 15 mins and drive again to see what happens...
