Watch what you drink at Nice.
I know of 6 people ( 3 of which I know post regulalrly on here and pillars of the Scooby community ) who were asked to leave the plane in Nice.
The reason - According to the Captain, he had watched them consume large quantities of alcohol in the departure lounge and EasyJet refused to fly them home.
My source said they had 3 or 4 pints.

Phil,
Not sure where is best to fly from....but check where exactly they fly to. Some Easyjet airports are a considerable distance from the "destination" given. The transfer may involve a long coach journey or use of public transport if you have not hired a car.

Phil,
easyJet Luton are probably your best bet - direct to Nice, and just down the road from you. Modern planes (although i believe without ILS - not ideal for Luton) and friendly staff who you may even recognise off the TV series. Luton has plenty of parking, and dual-carriageway access from the M1 (except for the last mile). Get there (to check-in, not the carpark) AT LEAST two hours before the flight is due, 'cos the queues can get BIG.

Phil,
booking easyJet via the internet is cheaper, and more so the further ahead that you book - so don't delay!
Don't forget that there will be another GBP10 tax on the outgoing leg (plus another 2 or 3 on the way back) - Tony Liar is at it again!
easyJet serve sandwiches (that you buy) on their flights, so you may prefer to eat more beforehand. Soft drinks are also available (at a cost) but they are in smaller than usual cans - hence my decision to drink beer (normal size) instead
Checking in is different to normal airlines - if your haven't been "easy" before. You just present your passport and booking reference at check-in and get a plastic coated "card" with a number on (bigger than your biggest pocket!). The lower the number, the sooner you board the plane (hence the suggestion to GET THERE EARLY). Seats are not pre-allocated, so you sit where you want (which is why lower numbered boarding cards are better!).
The staff are great - have a laugh and enjoy the trip. The last time i flew they had the BBC on board filming for The Money Program - major keep yer head down time .
